Atrium cocktail bar in Ponce City Market is celebrating Women’s History Month with a special cocktail menu honoring influential women throughout history. Now in its second year, the initiative has become an annual tradition for the bar, located in Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward.

A portion of proceeds will be donated to the Cool Girls Foundation, an Atlanta-based nonprofit focused on empowering young women through mentorship, leadership development, and after-school programming. Owner Tal Baum said the partnership is a personal one. “As a woman entrepreneur, business owner, and mother of a daughter, empowering young women is a cause I’m extremely passionate about.”

After researching organizations supporting girls, the team was drawn to Cool Girls for its “leadership development programs, one-to-one mentoring, and other resources dedicated to the self-empowerment of young women living in Atlanta’s most vulnerable communities,” Baum said.

The menu was developed collaboratively by Atrium’s bar team, with an emphasis on highlighting women whose lives and work support others. The goal, Baum said, was to create a lineup that “features strong, bold women who represent, uplift and support other women.” The cocktails are inspired by figures that span many disciplines and historical periods, including literature, visual arts, music, environmental conservation, sports, and civil rights. Among those featured are Maya Angelou, Frida Kahlo, Billie Jean King, Missy Elliott, Jane Goodall, and Rosa Parks.

Baum said the menu has been well received and has sparked conversation among guests about the women behind the drinks. Atrium offers themed menus throughout the year, but this one is especially meaningful to the team because of the organization they’re partnering with.

Atrium’s interior and menu are inspired by world travel, with the goal of transporting guests to another place and time, according to the bar’s website. Their Women’s History Month menu reflects this ethos, encouraging guests to engage with different moments in history through iconic women figures.

The menu will be served until Tuesday, March 31, and Atrium plans to bring back the Women’s History Month menu next year. In the meantime, the bar is preparing to launch a martini-focused happy hour menu next month.
