Steaks are high in Atlanta this spring. On Thursday, April 9, DiningOut’s nationally touring RARE Steak Championship will make its Atlanta debut, transforming Pullman Yards into a high-energy culinary arena where more than two dozen restaurants will compete for steak supremacy. Produced by DiningOut Events, the immersive tasting experience blends the elegance of a steakhouse showcase with the electric atmosphere of a late-night warehouse party.

More than 25 Atlanta restaurants will go head-to-head, serving unlimited steak tastings crafted from premium cuts provided by Buckhead Meat & Seafood. Guests can expect everything from classic steakhouse preparations to inventive, chef-driven interpretations, all while enjoying craft cocktails, curated wine and beer pairings, and live music from Crystal Clear Band.

The evening is as much competition as celebration. Restaurants will compete in two categories—Best Traditional Steak and Best Creative Steak—while beverage professionals vie for Best Cocktail honors. A panel of culinary insiders will award Critic’s Choice titles, while attendees cast votes for the People’s Choice winners. The night culminates in a dramatic on-stage awards ceremony where Atlanta’s steak champions will be crowned.

Originally launched in Denver in 2019, the RARE Steak Championship quickly built a reputation as one of the country’s most competitive and high-energy tasting events. Since then, the concept has expanded to Houston and Dallas, and in 2026 the tour grows again, with Atlanta joining New York City and Phoenix as new host markets.

The timing feels fitting. Over the past decade, Atlanta has emerged as one of the nation’s most dynamic culinary destinations, celebrated for its ambitious chefs, diverse dining culture, and vibrant nightlife. RARE’s restaurant lineup reflects that breadth, with competitors including Kevin Rathbun Steak, Canoe, Arnette’s Chop Shop, The Capital Grille, Morton’s, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, STK Steakhouse, The Palm, Parker’s on Ponce, Aspens Signature Steaks, Catch 12, Tio Luchos Peruvian, The Curious Pig, Vanzant’s, Up On The Roof, Governors Gun Club, McDaniel’s QN2 BBQ, Smoke & Friends, and more.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for First Taste entry and 7 p.m. for General Admission, with tickets available now at atlanta.raresteakfest.com. A portion of proceeds from the event will benefit Open Hand Atlanta, which provides medically tailored meals and nutrition services to individuals living with chronic illness throughout the community.

For steak lovers, it’s shaping up to be one seriously well-done night out.
