While SirDavis American Whisky debuted in September, 2024, it recently made a splash in Denver at several cocktail lounges and liquor stores. Not only that, but super star Beyoncé Knowles-Carter remains the face behind it.

Known for her penchant for good whiskey, the singer partnered with Moët Hennessy and master distiller Dr. Bill Lumsden to create the rye-heavy blend. The name is a nod to Beyoncé’s paternal great-grandfather, Davis Hogue. She found out he had been a moonshiner back in Prohibition days while living in the American South.

Now that the whiskey has become more widespread, we can delight in the taste and diva connection, one glass at a time.

  • Honeycomb for garnish

Instructions:

  • Add liquid ingredients to a shaker tin, then add the ice.
  • Cover and shake for dilution and chill.

*To make honey syrup, add two parts honey and one part water into a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the honey is dissolved. Allow to cool and transfer to an airtight container.
