One City Park restaurant makes news by ditching commercial soda for a brand that gives back. In Boulder, a 50-year-old bar plans to relocate, and a hip pasta spot in Denver gets a new chef. Finally, if you still need plans for Thanksgiving, don’t miss our list of Thanksgiving meals

The Dio Mio team has appointed chef Cheyenne Langis as the new chef de cuisine. The restaurant has been serving solid handmade pastas with a creative twist in RiNo since 2016. Langis, who ran the show at the restaurant group’s Little Johnny B’s as well as flexing her skills while working at Tavernetta, will be revamping the menu next month.

Starting Wednesday, November 26, sap sua will no longer sell Coca-Cola. Instead, the City Park Vietnamese restaurant will offer Palestine Cola. A portion of the sales will be directly donated to families in Gaza. Palestine Cola is owned by Safad Food, and profits from the drink are donated to the Safad Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to humanitarian and developmental projects.

Boulder’s decades-old college bar The Dark Horse will move from its current location at 2922 Baseline Road early next year. The change comes after the Boulder City Council approved the The Williams Village II redevelopment plan, which includes a multi-building complex with commercial space and over 400 residential units. According to the Daily Camera, “The Dark Horse will move to a 6,000-square-foot building elsewhere on the property.”

The Denver Christkindle Market has a new home on the Tivoli quad this year. With that came some setbacks, like parking costs. But, thanks to influencer Patrick James Garrett, who posted about these fees on social media, news is it lowered the rate to $15 (down from $25) in the Auraria Campus surface lots. Just keep in mind, the new rate doesn’t apply to garage parking. There are also some metered parking spaces around the Tivoli area, though not a lot.

Get excited, the Park Hill hot spot Lucina Eatery + Bar is upping its menu with the addition of ceviche negro. Combining fresh tuna with black ash aguachile (made from roasted chiles and tomatoes) and a housemade salsa negra, the dish is visually stunning and rich in flavor.

Crepe Therapy Café in Boulder just shared the news about its December specials, and they sound great. As a nod to owner Mawa McQueen’s French training and upbringing, the savory Beef Bourguignon crepe will be available until January. Guests with a sweet tooth can indulge in the Black Forest Cake Crepe, a Bailey’s Irish creme and chocolate crepe topped with chocolate mousse and a maraschino cherry compote.

Hey Kiddo in Berkeley launched new items on its Walk With Us menu, as well as some fresh cocktails. Now you can choose from items including Pork Belly Bo Ssam with miso and lettuce cups, and grilled mushrooms with winter squash ponzu. On the cocktail side, check out the Celery Tonic with mezcal and the Fennel Martini with sotol, apricot eau de vie, and absinthe.
