Denver loves brunch. Each Wednesday, we dish out the latest and greatest brunch spots around town, highlighting our favorite haunts and the dishes you crave. So pour a mimosa, grab a cup of coffee, and get ready to dig in to this week’s feature, brunch flights.

Beer flights, wine flights, even wasabi flights are things found during lunch and dinner hours. But where does that leave brunch flights? Turns out, plenty of places want to make sure you get a taste of all the goodies. From pancakes to iced coffee to bacon, here’s where to sample a breakfast spread worth traveling for.

Pancake Flight at Snooze An A.M. Eatery

If you’ve ever looked at the pancake menu at any of the Snooze locations, you know it can be hard to decide what to order. That’s where the Pancake Flight ($13.95) comes in. The classic line up includes pineapple upside down, blueberry danish, and sweet potato pancakes, but diners can customize the spread too.

Other flavors include chocolate chip, blueberry, vegan banana, strawberry shortcake, regular buttermilk, and a pancake of the week. No matter what you pick, there are no wrong choices. Various locations, snoozeeatery.com

Eggs Benedict Flight at Urban Farmer

Technically the Benedict Board ($38) isn’t called a flight, but given it allows diners a taste of what the restaurant offers, we’re including it. The board features one piece each, or half a Benedict, including ham, sirloin, pork, and avocado. It’s meant to share, but if you don’t, no one will bat an eye. 1659 Wazee St., Denver, urbanfarmersteakhouse.com

Iced Coffee Flight at Morning Story

There are a few locations of this charming breakfast diner, which means easy access to Green Chili Benedicts ($15), Biscuits & Gravy ($11), and glorious iced coffee. The latter offers so many choices, diners can opt for the Iced Coffee Flight ($9), a quatro of small glass cups filled with each concoction.

The line up includes mocha, caramel, vanilla, and whatever special seasonal flavor the mini restaurant chain has featured. Morning Story also offers flights of Mimosas ($14), Bloody Marys ($15), and bacon ($7), just in case you want to go all out and try various pairings. Various locations, morningstoryrestaurant.com

Bacon Flight at Bacon Social House

The trend of small chains having flights of breakfast food appears to be a constant, and such is the case with the three-location Bacon Social House. As the name suggests, bacon is a staple food here. In fact, they have two bacon flights on the menu. The Signature Bacon Flight ($13.95) includes six flavors such as pecanwood-smoked, BBQ, candied bacon, french toast style, chile lime, and the featured bacon of the month.

The somewhat fancier flight, or The Pro ($15.95), includes all of that but substitutes the pecanwood-smoked for the restaurant’s specialty Baller Bacon. Yes it tastes rich, and the thick-cut slice proves fatter than all the others. Various locations, baconsocialhouse.com

Aside from the usual two brunch cocktails (you know you know), the Espresso Martini may be the next best thing. After all, it’s a blend of booze and coffee, two things weekenders love to indulge in before 2 p.m. What better way to indulge than in the Espresso Martini Flight ($35), even it’s not really a brunch item since the bar is only open from 3 to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.  But it’s totally worth the deviation from the other morning spots.

Each order comes with three different flavors of the rich drink, and the varieties vary. Possible hits may include the Rose & Lychee Espresso Martini with vodka, rose, lychee, espresso, coffee liqueur, and cotton candy; Saffron Espresso Martini with saffron-infused vodka, espresso, coffee liqueur, and vanilla; or the classic version topped with whipped cream. 2590 Welton St. Denver, weltonroom.com
