From splashy Fourth of July celebrations to upcoming Bastille Day extravaganzas, New York City is never lacking for fun dining-related things to do. The week of June 18 is no exception.

June 18 and 19: Five-Borough Winner Special

Right now hundreds of New York City restaurants are offering a special dining price, in honor of the World Cup. For just $26, diners get a special meal deal. A few of the participating restaurants include Wild East Brewing Co., Eataly, Gui Steakhouse, Mission Ceviche, Daniel, and Jac’s on Bond, among hundreds of others. 

June 22 to 30: Misi Pasta Meets Governor’s Island

Starting this week, Misi Pasta will take over part of Governor’s Island. The lauded Brooklyn pasta-centric restaurant begins serving dinners to 16 guests on the island for five evenings from June 22 to 30. . Guests are picked up on Pier 25 in Tribeca and taken by boat to Governor’s Island. Book your spot here

June 18: Bites and Burlesque

Come to the new Seventy-Seven Alley in Tribeca to indulge in chef London Chase’s tasting menu (with wine pairing) and then get escorted to the adjacent Saint Tuesday for some live jazz and burlesque—dessert for the eyes and ears. $180 per person. Book your spot here

June 18: Somewhere Between Marseille and Cassis. 

Le Petit Village in the West Village will be channeling the Mediterranean coast, somewhere between Marseille and Cassis, for one night only. This five-course dinner with wine pairing takes place on June 18 starting at 7 p.m. There will be oysters, grilled seafood, and seasonal coastal dishes with wine from Provence, Languedoc, and the Loire Valley. June 18: Softshell Crab Season Is Here

Head to Platform by James Beard at Pier 57 in Chelsea to partake in a special softshell crab-laden dinner for $210 per person, starting at 6:30 p.m. Chef Jamie Davis of The Hackney in Washington, North Carolina will be cooking up a meal made with very fresh softshell crabs. This one-night-only event will begin with a cocktail reception. Get more information here

June 20: The Epic MacDougal Block Party

Head to MacDougal Street in Greenwich Village on June 20 between noon and 7 p.m. to partake in the third-annual MacDougal Street Mambo, a food-and-drink-laden block party. Chefs from various local restaurants will be cooking and feeding the masses, including Charlie Bird, Roscioli, Emmett’s, Dame, and Hamburger America. 

June 21: Sake for Pop

U Omakase, located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, is offering sushi-eating dads a complimentary glass of wine or sake if they come here to feast on fish on June 21, Father’s Day. While songs by The Cure and Bob Dylan seep from the speakers, dads (and the people who love them) can graze on a 13-course spring-inspired menu. Book your spot here.

June 22: Make Your Own Pizza and Eat It too

You can give a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day or you can teach a man to fish and he’ll eat forever. So the saying goes. Well, if you want to eat pizza forever, you can learn how to make it at Little Charli, located on Bleecker Street in the West Village. 

On Monday, June 22 at either 6 or 8:30 p.m., you can get your hands in the dough and learn the ins and outs of Roman style pizza. Once it’s in the oven, take a seat at the table and enjoy the feast you created. Book your spot in the kitchen here

June 24: If Omakase Were Italian…

Pascquale Jones, the great pizzeria from chef Ryan Hardy, is doing an omakase. A Pizza Omakase, that is. Diners seated at the chef’s counter get to feast on six different courses, all various southern Italian delights, cooked over an open fire. There are two Pizza Omakases per month. The next one is June 24 at 6 or 8:15 p.m., at $150 per person (excluding tax and tip). For reservations, click here

June 26: Celebrate the Solstice

Come to City Winery at Pier 57 in Chelsea for their special Chef & Winemaker Dinner: Summer Solstice on June 26. The winery, bar, and restaurant will be offering a four-course dinner by summertime for $95 per person with various timeslots throughout the night. Of course, there will be a lot of wine flowing too. June 28: A Real Drag of a Brunch

In honor of Pride Month, Blackbarn is offering a three-course brunch menu on Sunday, June 28, hosted by Thorgy Thor of Emmy Award-winning RuPaul’s Drag Race,  season 8. The three-course menu includes choices of Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, Avocado Toast, a Chicken Milanese Sandwich, Cornflake-Crusted French Toast, and a Chocolate Caramel Torte, among other options. There’s also a complimentary fruit and pastry basket. The cost is $95 per person, or upgrade the meal for $120, which includes bottomless boozy drinks. Book your spot here

June 28: Drag Yourself to Dinner

Rule of Thirds, the excellent Japanese restaurant in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, is celebrating Pride by offering a drag-themed dinner on June 28. Kampai Drag—Drag Me to Dinner begins at 6 p.m. with various snacks and drinks for purchase. Then the drag performers hit the stage, including Ru Afza and starring Agent Wednesday, Shia Ho, Angel Au, and Malai. Drag yourself to this link to book a place. 

July 3 and 4: A Bite of London in Brooklyn

Bar Blondeau, the handsome top-floor bar and restaurant in the Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, is hosting its first ever Chefs in Residence. Chef Jack Coghlan, the top toque behind Norbert’s, one of the best rotisserie chicken spots in London, is teaming up with Matthew Reade, a lauded London chef who has recently logged a few years in the kitchen of Michelin-starred Lyle’s. July 4: A Skyhigh July 4th Celebration 

Celebrate America’s 250th birthday in style at Manhatta, the Danny Meier-run rooftop bar in the Financial District. On the evening of our nation’s holiday, the restaurant turns into July 4 at Manhatta. The cost is $250 per person, and kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with an open bar and a summertime barbecue spread of food, lawn games, and a live band. Reserve your spot here

July 14: Bastille Day in Manhattan? Oui, Oui!

You need not be in Paris to celebrate one of the biggest French holidays of the year. At L’Abeille, the renowned French restaurant with a slight Japanese accent in Tribeca, will be bringing on Andrea Calsteir, the chef of Michelin-starred La Bastide in Westchester County. Come into L’Abeille on July 14 to sample Andrea Calstier’s Provencal-inspired menu with a slight Hudson Valley twist.
