Denver Restaurants Roll Out Special Events for the Stock Show

Head to the National Western Stock Show January 10 through 25 for all your cowboy, barbecue, and farm-life needs.

It’s the 140th anniversary of the National Western Stock Show, and restaurants, bars, and eater-tainment spots all over the city are gearing up for the fun. While professionals ride bulls and showcase their horse training skills, chefs will be making special burgers, barbecue platters, and cocktails to commemorate the occasion. Read on for a list of events and specials you can find all around the Mile High. 

Special Stock Show Events

January 8: Urban Farmer Serves Up Parade Day Feasts

Time to book brunch and/or lunch at Urban Farmer, conveniently located right along the National Western Stock Show Kick-off Parade route. Start the day with the Parade Breakfast from 10 to 11:30 a.m., featuring hearty options like a breakfast burrito with green chili and sweet and savory bagel sandwiches. After the parade, stay for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The special menu includes a dry-aged smashburger and a cheesesteak. 1659 Wazee St., Denver, urbanfarmersteakhouse.com

January 9 to 25: Bison Days at Number Thirty Eight

Number Thirty Eight partnered with Make-A-Wish Colorado for the sixth annual Bison Days, running throughout the Stock Show. The multi-week celebration features live music from The Droptines, Tyler Rich, Josh Gracin, and Eric Paslay. Also look for western-themed NFL playoff watch parties and the $20 all-you-can-drink Mountain Time Lager Saturday pre-game from 6 to 7 p.m. There’s also select chef’s table dinners before each concert featuring whisky pairings from Pendleton Whisky, which you can purchase with your concert tickets on Eventbrite for $100. 3560 Chestnut Pl., Denver, nmbr38.com

January 9 to 25: Jameson Pop-Up at The Peach Crease Club

Alex Jump and Stuart Jensen’s new bar launches The Peach Pit, a Jameson Irish Coffee pop-up just created just for the Stock Show. The outdoor, walk-up window will serve easy-to-drink warming cocktails including Irish coffees, green tea shots, and more. The Peach Pit runs every weekend from January 9 to 25, with festive décor creating a cozy stop for Stock Show fans and everyone else. 4180 Wynkoop St., Suite 130, Denver, peachcreaseclub.com

January 10 to 24: Riot BBQ Pop-Up

During the event Riot BBQ is taking over the historic saloon inside The Exchange at the National Western Center for the duration of the Stock Show. Chef Manny Barella and pitmaster Patrick Klaiber will be serving their signature Texas-meets-Mexican barbecue by the half-pound platter. Choices include brisket, turkey, pulled pork, and ribs. Each comes with a choice of side.  

January 10 and 24: Party Like an Animal at Moodswing

Moodswing, North Denver’s new pickleball restaurant, bar, and event space is hosting a series of free Stock Show events. On Saturday, January 10, enjoy the National Western Stock Show After Party with line dancing lessons from Two Left Boots at 9:30 and 10:30 PM, plus open dancing in between. That same day, skip parking with a free shuttle powered by Elevate Rides to the Stock Show, then return to Moodswing for the New Boot Goofin’ Dance Party with DJ Augment. 

On Saturday, January 24, the free shuttle runs again, and after the rodeo, guests can ride a mechanical bull and soak in the lively after-hours atmosphere. These events all combine fun with great food and drinks. For more information go here. 3625 E. 48th Ave., Denver,  mood-swing.com

January 16: Wynkoop Brewing Company Party

Located at the start of the Stock Show parade route, Denver’s oldest brewpub is celebrating the season with a free Stock Show–inspired hoedown on January 16 from 6 to 10 p.m. The ticketless party in the Mercantile Room features line dancing lessons, live entertainment, and themed food and drink specials, including a specialty Kölsch, a beer-and-shot combo, and a Maple Cinnamon Old Fashioned. 1634 18th St., Denver, wynkoop.com

January 23: 80th Annual Steer Day at The Brown Palace

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. the 2026 Grand Champion Steer will make a red-carpet entrance into The Brown Palace Atrium Lobby during Afternoon Tea, capping off the National Western Stock Show. The tradition dates to 1945, when cattleman Daniel I.J. Thornton paraded prize-winning bulls through the lobby after a record-breaking sale. Guests can sip tea and enjoy handmade sandwiches as the 1,000-plus pound steer steals the spotlight beneath the hotel’s holiday décor, which stays on display through the Stock Show season. All locations of The Cherry Cricket are saddling up for Stock Show season with its Rodeo Cowboy Burger—a half-pound Cricket patty topped with horseradish cream cheese, candied bacon, crispy onion strings and campfire sauce on a brioche bun. Custom Hats and Cheap Drinks at American Lore

Just in time for the Stock Show, American Lore opens on Friday, January 9. The shop blends custom hat fittings by Parker Thomas with a saloon-style bar from the team behind Number Thirty Eight. Guests can design hats tailored to their style while enjoying $4 beers, themed cocktails like the Rodeo Lemonade, and complimentary snacks. Toast the Stock Show at the New Legacy Saloon

The National Western Stock Show celebrates its 120th anniversary with the debut of the Legacy Saloon, a brand-new bar designed to give the feeling of a turn-of-the-century watering hole right inside the complex. Guests can sip on craft cocktails like the Pendleton Whisky Old Fashioned, Casamigos Tequila Punch, or SKYY Vodka Spiked Lemonade, all while taking in the saloon’s vintage charm.

Celebrate the National Western Stock Show with a true Colorado dining experience at The Fort, a Red Rocks landmark for over 60 years. On Monday through Thursday the special menu features a 14-ounce T-bone steak for $50, with salad, fresh bread, mashed potatoes, and seasonal vegetables. Plus, diners can score $5 margaritas and 50% off select wines.

Stock Show Chic at Hyatt Centric Downtown Denver
